The CFC Homecoming 2026 was an unforgettable afternoon filled with reconnection, celebration, storytelling, laughter and plenty of CFC spirit. One of the afternoon’s most meaningful highlights was the unveiling of the nameplate for the Paul Bronfman Family Foundation Terrace.
The new nameplate recognizes the Bronfman family’s generous support of the Canadian Film Centre and represents a lasting commitment to nurturing the next generation of Canadian screen talent. Honouring Don Carmody and His Living Legacy
Homecoming also provided an opportunity to celebrate legendary Canadian producer and longtime CFC champion Don Carmody, while announcing his remarkable $100,000 Living Legacy gift to the CFC.

Another standout feature of Homecoming was a stunning new alumni installation on the CFC lawn.
Featuring vibrant flowers, wings and the names of all 2,600 CFC alumni, the installation transformed the lawn into a colourful celebration of the Centre’s creative community. It quickly became a memorable focal point for the afternoon and a perfect backdrop for photos and conversations.
More importantly, it represented something deeper: while every CFC alumni journey is different, everyone remains connected by the shared experience of being part of the CFC community.
Food, Music and a Little CFC Fabulousness
Of course, a CFC Homecoming celebration wouldn’t be complete without delicious food, refreshing drinks, music and plenty of fun.
This year brought new food and beverage vendors to the event, adding even more variety to the afternoon. Guests were also treated to a special appearance by drag queen Messy Margaret, whose signature energy, humour and fabulous personality brought plenty of laughter to the celebration.
It was a joyful reminder that creativity and community are at the very heart of the CFC experience.
