Under the masterful magic of Europe-trained Maestro Paulo Busato, the skilful and talented Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra opened Casa Loma’s summer concert series with the premiere of the Symphony in the Gardens on Monday, June 3, with “Let’s Go to the Movies” and top movie music at Toronto’s iconic castle, Casa Loma, under summery skies with a sold-out appreciative audience. With surprise special guest soprano Sara Papini singing the Titanic theme before the grand finale of the music of the Pirates of the Caribbean, and after a wonderful evening of theatrical tunes, the attendees showed their enjoyment by bestowing upon Maestro Paulo Busato and his Casa Loma Symphony Orchestra a rousing standing ovation. After a beautiful evening of magical music, delicious food, and premium botanically-based Hendrick’s Gin samples provided by costumed Hendrick’s representatives from the beautifully-designed floral bar, reminiscent of Hendrick’s crowd-pleasing activation at Nathan Philips Square during a pre-pandemic Nuit Blanche, the satisfied attendees gradually left Toronto’s fairy tale castle after an enchanted evening.
Symphony in the Gardens occurs every Monday with different themes during the summer, while on Tuesdays, Sunset Concerts, launches with star singer, Jully Black, on June 11,
Toronto Arts and Events would like to extend our thanks to Susan of The Siren Group and Liberty Entertainment Group for the invitation to the highly entertaining opening of the Symphony in the Gardens.
