CMW Live Music Industry Awards Gala 2024 stormed the Westin Harbour Castle in Toronto on June 4 – it was hosted by Canadian rapper Haviah Mighter (winner of the 2019 Polaris Music Prize). It was the 8th CMW Live Music Industry awards.
Performances & Awards:
Stunning performances by host Haviah Mighty, contemporary blues guitarist Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, and dark pop siren Ari Hicks, and a special tribute by The Pursuit of Happiness to honour Jake Gold 2024 Music Industry Hall of Fame Inductee Jake Gold highlighted the gala. Multi-platinum, JUNO Award-winning Canadian artist deadmau5 was induced in the Hall of fame.
Marsha Vlasic, Vice Chair of the Music Division, Independent Artist Group is the Inaugural Most Powerful Women in Live Music Award from Women in Music Canada and the recipient of the second annual International Agent of the Year. Mark Monahan, Executive Director of Ottawa Blues Fest, is the winner of the Industry Impact Award sponsored by Jampack.
The Canadian Live Music Industry Awards celebrates the excellence of live music companies, individuals, and organizations over the past year.
