Blockchain Futurist Conference 2024 zoomed into Rebel, Toronto on August 13 & 14, 2024. This is Untraceable’s annual blockchain event which covers the future of disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence, Web 3.0 as well as blockchain.
Scale of the Conference:
According to organizers this year’s conference has over 10,000 attendees, more than 250+ speakers; 300+ sponsors and partners; 258+ volunteers; more than 130+ press and media; 92 community partners; more than 78 events for Canada Crypto Week of which 35 events where onsite at Rebel; 2 hackathons and 1 dog on stage!
This conference included the ETH Toronto Hackathon and ETHWomen, a female-focused and inclusive hackathon and competition which is a three-day competition for hackers to build the next innovation in blockchain technology. Hackers meet other developers, connect with hiring companies, attend speaker sessions and compete to present their innovations at this conference. NFT Art was on full display at the Conference.
Themes & Events:
The themes of this year’s conference was the regulation of the blockchain industry especially, the bull market of blockchain. With interests rates falling and bitcoin and the like rising, the crowd was optimistic.
There were also great events that took place on the first day such as LTD Boat Party, DeCC Day, ICP Hub Chain Fusion Event, Bored Ape Club Meetup and the Alex Tapscott Book signing. There were also special announcements from Toufi from Hypercycle, Andrea from APX Lending, Dean from WonderFI, K9 Finance and Shytoshi from Shib.
Day 2 sessions included: Women’s Breakfast, Women’s Facilitated Networking, Kids’s AI & Robotics, Talent Pool Games, Hong Kong Web3 Visions & Opportunities, Ari Juels Book Signing, Newton VIP Event, AI & Ethics Roundtable, and Annelise Osborne Book Signing.
Evening Events @ Blockchain Futurist Conference
The Opening Night Party was held on the eve of the conference and was an opportunity for attendees to network. There was also numerous other private events for networking in the Blockchain space. One highlight was the LTD Boat Party.
