
“The 2024 Interior Design Show (IDS24), presented by Miele, marked its 25th edition, with the flagship event returning to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre’s North Building from January 18 – 22. In celebration of its quarter of a century milestone, IDS24 drew attendees from across the nation and beyond, embracing visitors with an abundant array of local and international features and discussions, sharing insights and innovations from renowned leaders and brands within the design industry.
Dezeen Trade Day Thursday – January 18
IDS24 kicked-off with its first of two Trade Days on Thursday, January 18, featuring two keynote sessions as well as the start of IDS conference, the show’s seminar sessions. Dezeen Trade Day Thursday included a panel on Circular Economy & Product Design featuring Ranee Lee (DESIGNwith), Russell Greenberg (Stickbulb) and Guy Snover (Cyrc), as well as a conversation with acclaimed Canadian architect, Alison Brooks (Alison Brooks Architects) on the Cosentino Stage. Showgoers also had access to 12 conference sessions where they attended intimate and educational seminars led by industry leaders.
Opening Night Party
Closing out the first show day, the Party on Opening Night returned, solidifying itself as the biggest design party of the year as it brought together over 6,000 design aficionados for a night of celebration. Guests enjoyed live entertainment featuring DJ Phillippe, DJ Armand Digdoyo, DJ Ace Dillinger, and performances by Miss Moço, and Tynomi Banks on the Cosentino Stage. Honouring the legacy of the late Nike Onile, the NO-AD Foundation booth hosted a musical performance of African indigenous drumming and dancing.”
