With almost 300 leading international art galleries from 38 countries, including amazing art from modern and contemporary art masters plus emerging star artists, the 2024 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, under new director, Bridget Finn, came out strong and had strong sales. Arguably being the pre-eminent premier art fair in the whole art world, bringing art collectors from Europe, North America, Central America, South America, Asia and more, Art Basel Miami Beach is the place to be if you are serious about art.
Art lovers had plenty of art to see while enjoying the beautiful Miami, Miami Beach, and South Beach surroundings of historic art deco buildings and world-class beaches under warm sunny skies. This year’s mottoes were art is honor, art is multitudes, and art is culture, with not only the gallery exhibitors present, but also many artists, especially in the north lobby, where international artists such as Saori Kanda, from Japan, were available to display their beautiful art, along with artistic displays from Lufthansa, Ray Ban, Rabanne, and a couple of mini-galleries with artists eager to discuss their art works.
With the new Art Basel app, it was much easier for the art lover to explore the art on display at the Miami Beach Convention Center, especially with its built-in AI assistant. In fact, AI for Collectors was one of the many topics dealt with at Conversations.
With the multitude of art collectors from around the world, in addition to Art Basel Miami Beach, other art fairs ran concurrently with Art Basel Miami Beach, such as Untitled, Scope, Art Miami, Context Art, NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance), Acqua Art, INK Miami, and furniture-design focused Design Miami.
