"Casey House is one of the world's first hospices for people with HIV/AIDS. Volunteers inspired by their experience providing palliative care to a friend with cancer rallied in the mid 80's with Toronto activist/writer June Callwood to build a place of care and compassion to meet the needs of people affected by HIV/AIDS. Today, Casey House is a world-renowned facility that provides care in a 13 bed residential program, and sees over 100 clients in the community."[www.caseyhouse.ca]
