Rethink Breast Cancer

On Friday April 13, 2007, organizers Marc Schaffer, Mark Mulroney, Mark Kelton, Tasha Mazza-Kelton, Laura Jablonski and Marissa Morettin held the fifth annual Red & White Ball for cancer research in support of ReThink Breat Cancer at Maro. Toronto's trendiest highly influential young professionals gathered together to lend their support and open their hearts for breast cancer research and consequently more than $ 40,000 was raised. There were excellent hors d'oeuvres and an open bar serving fine Australian wine, beer and cocktails. To celebrate their 5th anniversary, the Red & White Ball arranged a special performance by a hot new recording artist Mac Graham who has several Juno nominations, nationwide tours and numerous network television appearances to his credit. The celebrity chef for the evening was David Adjey.

About Rethink Breast Cancer
Rethink Breast Cancer is a bold charity that supports young people affected by breast cancer through new and innovative research, education and support programs. It uses creative and unconventional ways to communicate about breast cancer in order to transform attitudes, debunk myths regarding breast cancer. The Red and White Ball is one example of how Rethink Breast Cancer is reaching the young savvy high teck younger generation by tapping into the arts, entertainment and fashion communities to re-energize the breast cancer movement and tackle the serious issues of breast cancer in a creative and positive way. Rethink is grass-roots, community oriented and dynamic. It is about thinking differently about how to beat breast cancer by taking a groundbreaking approach to all aspects of breast cancer: awareness, medical research, support and fund-raising.
