The Fashion Group International of Toronto ( the Toronto Chapter of a non-profit, global fashion organization ) recognized Canadian achievement in the world of fashion, beauty and design at the Night of Stars Gala which was held on April 17, 2008 at The Carlu in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Honourees for the 2008 Night of Stars Gala were:

Tickets for this event were $ 195 by Fashion Group Members and $250 for non-members. The Night of Stars began in 1983 in New York and is celebrated today in cities around the world including Toronto, London, Chicago and Washington! More than 500 guests attended the 2008 Gala in Toronto, including some of Canada’s most influential executives in beauty, fashion, and lifestyle industries as well as retail, marketing and textiles. Past honourees from the Night of StARS include Jeanne Beker, Joseph Mimran, Harry Rosen, Alfred Sung and Hilary Weston in Toronto and Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and Oscar de la Renta in New York.
