Mozart Unlaced!

February 22, 2007

The Royal Conservatory of Music held its third annual celebration of the great Mozart's birthday at the historical Casa Loma on Thursday, February 22, 2007. Over 70 musicians and singers from the Royal Conservatory of Music gathered to entertain for charity: it was a party that would have made Mozart proud!

Guests were treated to great classical music in every room at the Casa Loma. Guests found, say, a harpist in the bar; a classical guitist in another room; a string quartet in still in another room! The stars of the evening were: Molly Johnston and Juno nominee, Ron Sexsmith!!

Besides the delight of constant music, from classical to rock, there was food and drink spilling out of every room as well. Guests enjoyed exotic & innovative cuisine throughout the evening which was passed or served at elaborate food stations, raw bars & sushi bars and of course the famous chocolate fountain!!

There were plenty of celebrity guests and patrons of the arts on hand to support the grand event which was to raise funds for the Royal Conservatory of Music.

The historical Casa Loma ( which we hear is the second most visited tourist site in the TDot - the first? the CN Tower ) was the perfect venue for the stunning variety of music on hand. The evening was a true showcase of musical talent and an indulgent and memorable affair. This was the third annual Mozart Unlaced to raise funds for the Royal Conservatory of Music. They are expected to move into their renovated location on Bloor Street shortly.
