Toronto Italian Film Festival 2007

The 9th annual Toronto Italian Film Festival was held June 6 to 10, 2007 in Toronto, Ontario. Sponsors included CHIN, OMNI, Newstalk 1010 CFRB, that PR Thing, Birra Moretti, Colio Estate Wines, Rosehaven Homes, Windsor Arms Hotel, Telus and many others. According to Fred Lamberti, Co-Founder & Festival Chairman, each year it gets bigger and better. Fred indicated that the emphasis was on Canadian films. There was a press conference and VIP reception held at the luxurious Windsor Arms Hotel. The Festival consisted of the most important recent Italian films as well as a section of Italian Canadian Short Films. The Opening gala, 7Km from Jerusalem tells the story of forty-three year old Alexxandro, a Milanese Advertising Executive whose lost his job and his wife and daughter have abandoned him and he decides to walk from Jerusalem to the sea. The closing gala, My Best Enemy is a tragic and comic road movie.
