IIDEX/NEOCON CANADA 2012

Already Canada’s meeting place for the interior design and architecture communities, IIDEX/NeoCon Canada is breaking new ground in 2012 with an expanded multidisciplinary focus, heralded by the launch of the Architecture Canada Expo, the return of Hospitality Canada and Light Canada and the expansion of the always popular THINK:Material Exhibit. Owned by Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and co-presented for the first time by Architecture Canada | RAIC, IIDEX 2012 promises to be the must-attend event for those involved in the design, construction and management of the built environment, offering a venue for the sharing of ideas and the sourcing of new and innovative products in all design sectors.

SELECTED NEW FEATURES FOR 2012:

NEW: Architecture Canada Expo – IDC and Architecture Canada | RAIC kicked off 2012 with the announcement of their new collaboration as co-presenters of IIDEX/NeoCon Canada, now Canada’s National Design + Architecture Expo & Conference. The show will expand to include a significant new section of the show – the Architecture Canada Expo – which will focus on architectural, technology and sustainable products, offering architects and interior designers a broader array of products with an enhanced educational and networking program to match. On the programming side, the Architecture Canada Expo will also include an international architectural keynote panel discussion on social architecture, an expanded architecture seminar stream, awards, networking receptions and tours.

Light Canada Expo – Officially launched in 2008, Light Canada Expo is back in 2012 with an expanded exposition space for 100 + exhibitors showcasing the latest, cutting edge lighting technologies and designs from around the globe including fixtures for commercial and residential, interior and exterior use. In addition, IIDEX will present an international lighting keynote speaker as well as the unique Candela Ottawa Light Art feature to inspire interior designers and architects alike.

Hospitality Canada Expo – Launched in 2011 to great accolades, the 2012 Hospitality Canada Expo promises to build on the expo’s initial success with enhanced programming and attendee development initiatives. This will include an expanded space for 100+ exhibitors, special feature displays of restaurants, bars, hotels, retail and retirement living as well as exhibits of new products from leading hospitality suppliers with accessories, furniture, art, flooring, fabrics, wallcoverings, finishes, lighting, services, and window treatments.

Material World Expo – Growing every year to meet the insatiable demand from professionals in all sectors of design for the latest and most innovative materials from around the world, the Material World Expo in 2012 will feature an even wider range of products including glass, wood, metal, plastic, laminate, stone, textiles and more. The expo will feature the always popular THINK:Material, an exhibit of innovative materials collected from around the world by the IIDEX team and curated in collaboration with materials expert Jim Salazar. This exhibit is complimented by its own website, thinkmaterial.ca.
