The Human Resources Professionals Association of Ontario#&39s Annual Conference was held January 27 to 29, 2010 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre! Entitled, Write Your Own Legacy in 20X, the association estimated that 4,000 HR and business professionals attended HRPAO's annual conference this year and that it is the second largest in the world. According to this association, "Effective HR management has never been more important to a winning business strategy. And the role of the HR professional as talent scout, coach and referee has never been more critical. A world-class line-up of dynamic speakers will equip you with the knowledge of emerging trends and cutting-edge solutions you need to lead a high-performing team."

HRPAO's annual conference consisted of the Executive Program, the special Pre-conference program, a conference kick-off event, keynote speakers and sessions dealing with important issues effecting today's human resource professional. "Renew, Re-energize and Re-engage!": Sociologist Bertice Berry,PhD delivered an emotional presentation about "increasing morale and promoting an energized workforce that's equipped to do more with less in times of economic uncertainty." Six Pixels of Separation: Mitch Joel gave an interesting presentation on his insights on digital marketing and personal branding. There was one interesting evening event on Wednesday entitled the 20X Mind Olympics.
