JAYS CARE FOUNDATION - THE CURVE BALL
June 4, 2009


The Jays Care Foundation held the Curve Ball on June 4 at the ROYAL ONTARIO MUSEUM. At this fund raising event, guests had the opportunity to meet and mingle with most of the 2009 Toronto Blue Jays Team as well as several members of the 1989 Blue Jays American League Championship team including Tony Fernandez, Duane Ward, Kelly Gruber, Mookie Wilson, Tom Henke and Jesse Barfield. Guests were greeted with baseball-themed snacks, delicious hors d'oeuvres, and Blue SKYY Lemonades in the fine reception. There was a live and silent auction The Self-Esteem Academy Singers, who received a grant from the Jays Care Foundation for their after-school arts and education program entertained the crowd.

Friends For Life Foundation Charity Benefit

On June 5, 2009 the Friends For Life Foundation Charity Benefit was held at the Atlantis Pavilion, 955 Lakeshore Blvd. W. The evening included a live and silent auction, unique live chef stations, music from Janinne Mackie and The Blue Martini Jazz Band, open bar and dancing.

"The Friends For Life Foundation is a non-profit charity organization in support of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Oncology Unit at SickKids Hospital. March of Dimes Canada - Ability and Beyond Gala Dinner

At the Royal York Hotel in Toronto on May 26, 2009, the March of Dimes Canada held its third annual Ability and Beyond Gala Dinner featuring President Barack Obama's Campaign Manager David Plouffe and Senator Mike Duffy as Master of Ceremonies.
