The Design Exchange held its annual Black and White Gala, Commotion on
Saturday, October 24, 2009 at its Bay Street site in Toronto, Canada! Throughout the venue, Guests enjoyed the commotion of performers which included break-dancers, the fusion jazz band the Kandinsky Effect, and ice skater Chantal Fry. The main stage party room showed women wearing giant rooster headpieces and large televisions showing science fiction videos and animated clips of robots, moving lips, and blinking eyes. This DX Gala included a large silent auction, caterer-sponsored food stations, and a private dinner and presentation which honoured Todd Wood and Jason Griffin from Research in Motion's industrial design team.

The Black & White Gala was a fantastic evening for a worthy cause; namely, the Design Exchange.
