... a Magical Evening Inspired by the Written Word

Event Management team Solutions with Impact together with the Toronto Public Library Foundation successfully executed another fine event… the third annual Book Lover's Ball which was held on Thursday January 31, 2008 at Toronto's historic hotel, The Fairmont Royal York. This event raised $300,000 to support the work of the Toronto Public Library which claims to be the busiest urban public library system in the world. The Book Lover's Ball is great because it gives one the opportunity of chatting with over 50 celebrity authors and more than 500 of Toronto's literary lovers and Library supporters. Imagine indulging in a fine reception with authors and others dressed in costume from various books and having the opportunity to chat with authors and to indulge in a menu prepared by renowned chefs Jamie Kennedy and David Garcelon. After dinner the room came to life with a fashion show of couture created by top Canadian designers – all based on famous scenes in literature.
