The winners of the RBC Canadian Painting Competition were announced at OCAD on September 16, 2007 from fifteen semi-finalists from across Canada. Five
semi-finalists were chosen from each region of Canada: Eastern, Central & Western Canada. The show now travels across the country.
The winners are:
- Arabella Campbell - national winner $25,000 Physical Facts Series #6
- Melanie Authier - Honourable Mention $ 15,000 Apocalyptic Picnic
- Chris Miller - Honourable Mention $ 15,000 for FACEBITOR

The Association of African Canadian Artists launched its 11th anniversary art exhibition, Colourblind, A Celebration of Life at Spin Gallery on January 18,
2007. In the early years, the exhibition took place during February, Black History Month in the lobby of the Canadian Human Rights Commission. It has grown
each year to include more artists and more venues. In 2006, it was on public display for over five months. In 2007, this show will travel not only in
