Tenth Anniversary National Conference

The Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services (ACSESS) - held its tenth anniversary National Conference from May 7th to 9th, 2008 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada the purpose of which was to address staffing industry challenges, trends and issues! This conference is held by ACSESS to promote professionalism and high standards in the staffing industry. It consisted of two days of workshops, speakers, lunches including the Industry Awards Luncheon, a gala dinner & dance and ceremonies. It was attended by not only the whose who of industry professionals but also workers and consultants some of whom advised TorontoArtsandEvents that the speakers at this event were great and the conference was a very worthwhile learning experience. ACSESS's standards and ethics committee develops standards and ethics for its members. ACSESS also manages the Certified Professional Consultant (CPC) designation, which is a certification program to enforce these high standards of operations. Continuing with its goal of professionalism, the ACSESS conference featured a range of interesting and experienced speakers and presenters from the recruitment industry. Personal motivator Mike Lipkin talked about building confidence and communication skills, while CPC Tony Bruno addressed the state of the U.S. staffing industry.
